 Appreciating Good Enough

QSC's Mark Mayfield has been around the AV industry for a long time and witnessed the arrival of many cutting-edge products. So what was his reaction when he received a record player for Christmas? You might be surprised. (Or maybe not.) Read about it and share your thoughts on technology trends.

Now Hear This: How to Verify Audio System Performance

Just because you've finished installing that new audio system doesn't mean you're finished. AV systems performance verification is a critical part of AV integration, because it helps ensure that what you've built is what the customer wanted. Start with these five pointers, then explore further how to verify audio system performance.

Your AV Industry, From A to Z

You've been working in the professional AV industry for a while. You know the lingo. But just to make sure we're all speaking the same language (and in case any terms slip your mind), InfoComm has created an AV industry glossary. Use it when words escape you, or send the link to clients when they need to know more about what you're proposing. It's an invaluable resource. Look up something today.

It's Hard to Be a Manager and a Friend

Here's something project management expert Brad Malone, PMP, sometimes hears from the AV companies he consults with: "Nobody holds anybody accountable anymore." Maybe it's because managers don't make it clear enough what "accountable" means. When Malone hears this and other employee-management concerns, he asks these seven important questions.
