 For the Love of Cables

On the surface, a standard to define how cables should be labeled in audiovisual systems might not sound exciting, even to AV insiders. But when you assemble five of the most knowledgeable and enthusiastic AV experts, who between them have more than a century of experience and enough drive to power a cloud-computing data center, you can bet something good will come from it, such as InfoComm's soon-to-be-released Cable Labeling for Audiovisual Systems (CLAS) standard.

Three of these experts — John Bailey, CTS-D, CTS-I, Vice President of Technology at Whitlock; Peter Swanson, CTS, Head of Sales and Marketing at AMX Australia; and Jason Brameld, Technical Director of Torpedo Factory Group in the U.K. — talk about the process of developing this important standard. Read their story.

It's Never Too Early to Register for CTS Prep Virtual Classroom

Todd Zimmerman
Todd Zimmermann, CTS

"I took CTS Prep Virtual Classroom because I wanted assistance in getting through the CTS material," says Todd Zimmermann, CTS, of Verrex Corp. "For me, I like listening to a lecture rather than just reading the material. Plus, it was nice to set aside the lunch time twice a week for the webinar and study time. I would recommend the class if you are looking for ways to help study for the CTS exam. It helped me prepare and made me more confident in taking the test."

There's no time like the present. Reserve your spot today to explore the CTS exam format, learn test-taking strategies, find out what to expect the day of the exam, and study at your own pace. Sign up now.

The one-on-one consultations will run approximately 20 minutes each. Participants will receive a tailored plan of training opportunities not only from InfoComm, but also from other sources inside and outside the AV industry. Read the news and learn how to sign up.
