InfoComm Releases Pro-AV Business Index |
With the launch of the Pro-AV Business Index, InfoComm International® will provide a monthly
snapshot on the health of the commercial audiovisual industry. Survey respondents from AV companies
report business activity (sales and employment) relative to the prior month, and the index is
calculated to measure perceived change in their sentiment. Organizations can correlate the InfoComm
Pro-AV Business Index with their internal sales information and other data used for business
forecasting. The Index is available at no charge. |

Embrace a Security Culture |
We are at the point in AV and IT integration where AV companies should (if they haven’t
already) embrace a security culture. "If, as an AV integrator, you are not security-conscious,
then do not come to me," an AV customer at a U.S. government agency recently told InfoComm
researchers. "Don’t say, ‘Aren’t you being overly cautious?’ because
there is no such thing." What steps should AV companies take to be proactive about security
concerns? InfoComm’s Brad Grimes explores this top-of-mind issue. |
