 Integrate and InfoComm Re-Up

At last week’s Integrate 2015 show in Australia, Diversified Communications, one of the country’s largest and fastest-growing exhibition companies, announced that the partnership between Integrate and InfoComm International® will continue for five more years.

“Developing these international relationships helps Integrate to provide the local industry with up-to-date training and knowledge, in addition to the latest AV products,” said Diversified Communications Australia Managing Director Matt Pearce. “In just seven years, Integrate has grown to become the most established commercial event dedicated to the Australian AV and systems integration marketplace, and extending our partnership with InfoComm cements its position as the must-attend industry event.”

Said Jonathan Seller, InfoComm Senior Director of Development, Asia Pacific, “This partnership with Integrate means InfoComm’s Australian members have one annual event that provides them with the opportunity to see the latest AV and systems integration products and also maintain and enhance their skills through InfoComm’s education programs.”

Symco Technology Showcase to Include InfoComm Roundtables

InfoComm will be co-locating with the Symco Regional Technology Showcase for a pair of full-day, East Coast events. Join us for a Roundtable Plus Oct. 20 in Boston or Oct. 22 in New York. Each afternoon, Senior Vice President of Member Services Betsy Jaffe will present Exceptional Experience — A Fantastic Journey before attendees launch into a roundtable discussion of industry issues, followed by an InfoComm-sponsored networking reception.

Starting in the morning on both days, AV pros can enjoy Symco’s education program and technology exhibition. Hear from experts at Symco, Biamp, FSR and LG Electronics as they offer insights on new solutions. Systems Contractor News will also be on-hand to lead a panel discussion featuring CIOs and CTOs from important AV/IT markets.

Atkins Fleming

InfoComm International would like to congratulate the 1,000th Certified Technology Specialist™ — Design: Atkins Fleming, Coordinator of Classroom Technologies at Texas State University. The CTS-D is a specialized CTS designation and requires at least two years of design experience and a valid CTS certification.

“Preparing for the CTS-D exam not only gave me a better background and understanding of what design was all about, but also helped me understand why the CTS-D certification is so important for those in this field,” Fleming said.

 BYOD: A Maze of Issues

“I found the AV Technologist test useful and related well to Essentials of AV. Plus, it acted as a stepping stone to take my CTS. Being new to AV, it helped me learn some of the fundamentals and key principles to take forward into the main exam.”
