TimesCenter Makes Its Own Kind of News

Travel 75 Years in Three Minutes

The AV industry has changed a lot over the past 75 years, and so has your trade association, InfoComm International®. Enjoy this brief video and look back to see where we've come from — and where we're going.

Don't Miss the InfoComm AV Executive Conference

InfoComm member management teams should be making plans to attend this year's InfoComm AV Executive Conference (AVEC), Sept. 17–19 in Scottsdale, Ariz.

Forget everything you know about conferences — you won't be sitting quietly, taking notes. Instead, you'll roll up your sleeves and start planning concrete actions to advance your business. This highly interactive program will empower you and your team to think about your strategic plan in new ways never imagined.

Position your company for success by creating your Business Growth Canvas with Dr. Yves Pigneur, inventor and bestselling author of Business Model Generation: A Handbook for Visionaries, Game Changers, and Challengers. You and your team will learn practical, implementable and strategic advice to grow your business in today's changing landscape. Don't miss your last opportunity to register at early bird pricing (expires July 25).

PLASA Seeks Comments in ACN-Related Standard Public Review

BSR E1.30-11, EPI 33 — ACN Root Layer Protocol Operation on TCP, has been posted for public review. The draft standard may be downloaded at no cost. The review runs through Sept. 15.

BSR E1.30-11 is a Profile for Interoperability (EPI) to be used with ANSI E1.17, which is commonly called "ACN" for Architecture for Control Networks. EPIs related to ANSI E1.17 specify how conforming implementations are to operate in particular environments or situations in order to guarantee interoperability. This part of E1.30, EPI 33, is an interoperability profile that specifies the operation and formats for the ACN Root Layer Protocol operating on TCP.

Wow Your Peers at InfoComm 2015

Share your insights by presenting at InfoComm 2015, June 13-19 in Orlando. Think innovative, interactive and collaborative. Submit your proposal to present, now through Sept. 15, 2014.

 CTS in Finland

Timo Tuomi, CTS

Timo Tuomi, CTS®, Project Designer at Hedcom Oy in Helsinki, holds the honor of being the first CTS holder in Finland.

"We don't have any certification system in Finland, so it made sense to get a certification that was recognized internationally and many of my friends have it abroad," says Tuomi.

 Dive Into CTS Prep

Before you take the CTS exam, consider the three-day CTS Prep. This in-person, instructor-led course can guide you on how to prepare and what to expect.

Explore options to take the course in Chicago, Orlando or Philadelphia.
