AV is 'On the Rise Globally'
Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) 2015, 10-12 Feb. at the Amsterdam RAI, attracted 59,350 attendees from across the globe, including the Asia &
Oceania region. That is a 16 percent increase from the previous year, which bodes well for organizers' plans to add an extra day to the 2016 show.
ISE is co-owned by InfoComm International® and CEDIA.
At ISE, InfoComm began offering guest memberships to show AV professionals the benefits of joining the global trade association. Nearly 1,200
individuals took advantage. "Our industry is on the rise globally," said David Labuskes, CTS®, RCDD, Executive Director and CEO, InfoComm.
"Nothing reflects that trend more succinctly than the continued growth of ISE and of our association’s membership internationally."

Last year, InfoComm started an India Advisory Group to help develop training opportunities designed specifically to the needs of AV
professionals in that market. The most recent fruits of that cooperation begin in March, with a four-part online webinar series on topics requested
by the India advisory group, although AV pros worldwide can join and learn.
On 4 March, 18:00 Mumbai time, InfoComm Staff Instructor Andre LeJeune, CTS, will teach
How to Conduct and Document a Needs Analysis
to online participants. At the end of the webinar, guest speaker Mustafa I. Rampurawala, CTS, from Solutions India Systems Ltd, will share
an in-country perspective. Then on 18 March, at 18:00 Mumbai time, InfoComm Senior Staff Instructor Tom Kehr, CTS-D, CTS-I, will teach
How to Write a Program Report.
At the end of the second webinar, guest speaker Narendra Naidu from Rhino Engineers Pvt Ltd. will offer extra insight.
The two March webinars will be followed in November by two more topics suggested by the India advisory group: Wiring a Rack and
AV Termination Library. Registration for the November webinars will open soon. In the meantime, make sure you plan to attend

When it comes to setting up an AV collaboration system, many people forget the basics. Like the fact that a webcam is rarely a good
solution in a conference room setting. And if setting up a collaboration system has its pitfalls, so does using one. InfoComm

offers advice for designing
collaboration systems that you ignore at your peril. |

Message From the Directors

|
|
Dear Friends,
Here is an urgent update for our colleagues in India: The three-day class Networked AV Systems,
to be held in Bangalore this week, is almost sold out. If you still want to attend, contact Country Manager Gaurab Majumdar at the email address below.
Why the urgent update? Because sell-out classes have become regular occurrences in certain regions of the world and we want to make sure everyone
has a chance to take advantage of InfoComm International® training and events. Earlier this month, we held CTS Prep in Bangalore and it was over
capacity.
So our message is two-fold. First, thank you for enthusiastically supporting InfoComm and the AV industry in your region of the world. And second,
always keep your eyes open for opportunities to connect with InfoComm, whether it’s in a class or at a networking event. When the opportunities
present themselves, register early — it is the best way to guarantee your participation in these high-demand events.
Sincerely,
|
