Renewal Unit Provider Program

InfoComm's CTS, CTS-D, and CTS-I  renew their credential every three years through continuing education. Each renewal candidate is required to attain 30 renewal units (RUs).

The InfoComm certification program measures the satisfaction of renewal requirements in renewal units (RUs).

Become an RU Provider
Join the growing list of approved programs from manufacturers, educational institutions and other organizations that conduct training and education programs related to the AV industry.  Once your programs are approved, you will receive a copy of the RU Provider logo to use on your website and other materials. Becoming a Renewal Unit Provider increases your visibility in the industry and provides a needed service to AV professionals for CTS, CTS-D and CTS-I credential renewal.

If You Have Programs to Offer, Why Not Apply Now?

  1. Download and review the Renewal Unit Provider Handbook .
  2. Complete the application (in the handbook or as a separate form) and include any attachments required per the application and send it to the InfoComm Certification Office listed above (at least 30 days prior to the start of the training program).
  3. Allow at least 30 days prior to the start of the course for the approval process.
  4. Be sure to provide your contact information, including email address.

Your programs will be reviewed, and either a request for additional information or an approval email will be sent to the contact person listed. Programs are approved for a period of 24 months. You are encouraged to re-apply.

Certification is not a guarantee for performance by certified individuals. Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) holders at all levels of certification have demonstrated audiovisual knowledge and/or skills. Certified individuals adhere to the CTS Code of Ethics and Conduct and maintain their status through continued education. Certification demonstrates commitment to professional growth in the audiovisual industry and is strongly supported by InfoComm.

All eligibility, application, score reports, special accommodation requests and general inquiries regarding InfoComm certification will be handled through the InfoComm International Certification Office, with headquarters located in Fairfax, VA, U.S.A. Purchases of education, membership or any other InfoComm services are not required to seek certification.
