Faculty Criteria and Benefits

The InfoComm International Adjunct Faculty Program has been created to recognize the contributions of its corps of dedicated instructors and to contribute to their professional development. In doing so, InfoComm International will provide its students with the highest quality training from the industry's technical experts. Faculty that constitute this group are nominated by the InfoComm International Professional Education and Training Committee (PETC) Steering Committee. There are three levels of the Adjunct Program: Adjunct Faculty, University Faculty and Senior University Faculty. In addition, there is an honorary role known as Instructor Emeritus. The selection of program recipients will be held yearly. Details of each program as well as benefits and requirements follow.

InfoComm International Adjunct Faculty
Those serving in this role:

  • will participate in an InfoComm University training of trainers once every three years
  • will keep a current bio on file at InfoComm International
  • will support the mission and program of InfoComm International
  • will have no limit on their terms, but must be reconfirmed by PETC every year
  • to attain the role, the individual will present at least one course session. To maintain the role, the individual will present at least four hours of instruction every three years
  • will be listed along with their company names on the InfoComm International website
  • may become eligible for selection to the InfoComm University Faculty ranks

InfoComm International University Faculty
Those serving in this role will meet all the requirements for the Adjunct Faculty and receive the attendant benefits plus:

  • will have chaired, designed or facilitated an Institute course, University School or Super Tuesday session at least once every five years
  • will hold a valid CTS designation
  • will receive a certificate indicating status
  • may attend any InfoComm University training event tuition-free
  • may have their name posted in the University
  • may have their name and company name put in a variety of InfoComm International publications
  • will have their name, company name, picture and bio posted on the InfoComm International website

Senior InfoComm International University Faculty
Those serving in this role will have met all the requirements for University Faculty and receive the attendant benefits plus:

  • will have served at least five of the past seven years at the level of University Faculty
  • will receive special recognition presented at InfoComm exhibitions
  • upon selection, will receive a plaque recognizing their service
  • will receive acknowledgement of status in InfoComm exhibition Show Daily

Instructor Emeritus
This honorary role will be:

  • bestowed upon an individual who has made a major impact on the InfoComm International education and training program
  • bestowed upon an individual who no longer teaches but who will still provide consultation services and guidance to PETC and the InfoComm International staff
  • nominated by PETC once a year, but in some years no selections may be made
