John Lopinto

John Lopinto is President, CEO and co-founder of Communications Specialties, Inc., a leading manufacturer of fiber optic transmission systems and high-performance computer-video interface products. Prior to founding the company in 1983, he held various technical and managerial positions at the CBS Television Network, Home Box Office and Time Video Information Services (a subsidiary of Time Warner, Inc.).

Lopinto holds a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering degree. His professional affiliations include the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, the Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers, and InfoComm, where he is a member of the InfoComm Academy’s Adjunct Faculty. He has taught seminars on fiber optic technology throughout the United States, Europe and Asia.
