Course Details

• Discover how the building's physical structure can dramatically affect AV design.
• Learn about working with other trades including HVAC, electrical, interior designer, lighting, IT and networking, and architects.
• Learn critical considerations to design better systems.

Anyone who reads, works with or creates AV designs, including:

• AV designers
• Engineers
• Technology managers
• Project managers

Prerequisites

It is strongly recommended that students complete Design Online and AV Design Level 1: Environment.

Materials

Networked Device Inventory Spreadsheet — a tool to help you work with IT departments to design networked AV systems and maintain those systems once they are built.

Time Commitment

This three-day classroom course is eight hours per day. Additional evening work may be required.

Special Feature

• Students will create a portfolio documenting recommended design processes and sample documentation for reference.
