AV is 'On the Rise Globally'
Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) 2015, 10-12 Feb. at the Amsterdam RAI, attracted 59,350 attendees from across the globe, including
the Asia & Oceania region. That is a 16 percent increase from the previous year, which bodes well for organizers' plans to add
an extra day to the 2016 show. ISE is co-owned by InfoComm International® and CEDIA.
At ISE, InfoComm began offering guest memberships to show AV professionals the benefits of joining the global trade association. Nearly 1,200
individuals took advantage. "Our industry is on the rise globally," said David Labuskes, CTS®, RCDD, Executive Director and CEO, InfoComm.
"Nothing reflects that trend more succinctly than the continued growth of ISE and of our association's membership internationally."

When it comes to setting up an AV collaboration system, many people forget the basics. Like the fact that a webcam is rarely a good
solution in a conference room setting. And if setting up a collaboration system has its pitfalls, so does using one. InfoComm
All Voices blogger and Dimension Data Principal Consultant David Danto
offers advice for designing
collaboration systems that you ignore at your peril. |

Message From the Directors

Dear Friends,
What does the AV industry do for an encore? Nearly 60,000 of you — from all around the world — joined us at the Amsterdam RAI
for Integrated Systems Europe 2015. You saw awesome technology, such as projection mapping on a Tesla automobile, and got your fill of
industry-critical education, such as the popular Master Class with Electrosonic Founder Director Robert Simpson, who taught attendees
all about the displays of today and tomorrow.
We'll tell you what the industry does for an encore: You build on this foundation. Take what you saw at ISE and apply it to your growing
businesses. Expand on it through education, such as InfoComm University™'s Design Boot Camp, coming to Hemel Hempstead, U.K.,
starting next month. Share your experiences with like-minded professionals. We have InfoComm Roundtables slated for Rome and Amsterdam
(see the Events section of this Update). And learn more about AV in your local market and what InfoComm has to offer, perhaps at networking
events in Qatar and the United Arab Emirates in March.
The year 2015 is off to an outstanding start. Let's keep the momentum going.
Sincerely,
|
