We know your company stands for high quality work. And proving conformance to ANSI/INFOCOMM 2M-2010, Standard Guide for Audiovisual Systems Design and Coordination Processes, and ANSI/INFOCOMM 10:2013, Audiovisual Systems Performance Verification is a vital part of becoming an APEx company.

In particular, the Performance Verification Standard and the corresponding Audiovisual Systems Performance Verification Guide are usable only if the project has appropriate project documentation. Simply put, you cannot verify against something that doesn’t exist. Additionally, not every single project requires the same documentation. Use the guidelines in the AV Systems Design Standard to help inform your documentation processes. This will in turn help you map out which verification items are appropriate for your project.

The figure below shows how both standards interact in the span of a project.

A key point to consider is that the ANSI/InfoComm 10:2013 Audiovisual Systems Performance Verification standard is broken out from the ANSI/INFOCOMM 2M-2010 Standard Guide for Audiovisual Systems Design and Coordination Processes checklist. As you move through 2M-2010 and run down the checklist it includes "Testing and Acceptance."

While the Design and Coordination standard is intended to be a guideline for an entire project, you can see how the Verification standard fits very nicely within the framework from system design to installation.
