~ Bob Garofalo, CTS®, Vice President of Giant Audio Visual, Inc.

Enroll now or call 1.800.659.7469. The next course is Jan. 28-Feb. 22, 2013.

 Students Compete in the AVlympics
As part of AV Week, InfoComm hosted the first-ever AVlympics, a test of skill, stamina and one’s ability to wrap a cable really, really fast. It was also a chance for some local high school students to explore possible career paths to the AV industry. InfoComm Senior Editor Brad Grimes was there and saw an opportunity to engage young people in pro AV at an earlier age.

Legislative Chicken: Sequestration and the Fiscal Cliff Explained
In the All Voices Blog, InfoComm’s Director of Government Affairs gives the 4-1-1 on the so-called fiscal cliff. How did we get here? What does the pending cliff mean for today’s business? And what does it mean if the economy goes over the edge?

 CTS Gives Confidence to Veterans
Steven Delozier, CTS®, (right, with InfoComm CEO Randal A. Lemke, Ph.D.) is one of the graduates of the inaugural AV Heroes program, a six-week training program designed to help U.S. veterans begin careers in AV. Here’s what he has to say about his latest accomplishment:

“Earning my CTS is a true career milestone for me. Although I’ve worked with AV systems in the U.S. Air Force for several years, the CTS certification gives me the confidence and credentials I need to press forward and succeed as a true industry professional.”

Call 1.800.659.7469 or go online to find out how you can sponsor a scholarship for students in 2013.
