Welcome AV Heroes
The AV Heroes program, an important educational initiative by InfoComm and the United Veterans Learning Centers, officially kicks off August 14 at InfoComm headquarters in Fairfax, Va. U.S. military veterans will enjoy six weeks of training in professional AV, with an eye toward preparing for the CTS® exam and careers in the AV industry. Plans call for AV Heroes to offer courses quarterly in 2013.

Help Wanted: International Webinar Presenters
InfoComm is currently seeking presenters for a series of global regional webinars from July to December 2012, aimed at audiences in Asia, the U.K., Europe, Central and South America, Australia, the Middle East and Africa. Topics may include anything pertinent to AV but must be neutral and educational — not a sales pitch. Presentations should be from 30 to 50 minutes long. They will be accompanied by an InfoComm update on news in the region and can be delivered either in English or the local language, as appropriate.
