ANSI Approves AV Systems Verification Standard

InfoComm International's latest standard, ANSI/INFOCOMM 10-2013, Audiovisual Systems Performance Verification, has been approved by ANSI, a private, nonprofit organization that administers and coordinates the U.S. voluntary standardization and conformity assessment systems.

ANSI/INFOCOMM 10-2013, Audiovisual Systems Performance Verification provides a comprehensive, systematic, and practical approach to verifying performance of AV systems. This standard will provide practitioners the ability to produce a verifiable evaluation of the audiovisual system based on quality assurance, testing and acceptance, and will ensure the system conforms to the owners' operational needs, as established in the system/project documentation. Microsoft Enters InfoComm 2014

Microsoft will be a new exhibitor at InfoComm 2014, the world's largest audiovisual trade show. Microsoft will be a platinum show sponsor occupying significant exhibit space in the Las Vegas Convention Center June 18-20, 2014.

Biamp Systems and InfoComm Partner to Train on AV Networking in Mexico

Biamp Systems, a leading provider of innovative, networked media systems, and InfoComm International, announced a partnership to provide networked AV systems training to industry professionals in Mexico in Spanish. As host of quarterly sessions of InfoComm's AV Networking Technology course in Mexico City, Biamp is extending a generous discount to its local system integrators. The three-day sessions are scheduled for Feb. 27-March 1, May 29-31, Aug. 18-20 (during TecnoMultimedia InfoComm Mexico 2014) and Nov. 27-29. Learn more.

InfoComm has agreed to extend membership and free and discounted training to members of the Standing Conference for Heads of Media Services (SCHOMS).

InfoComm and SCHOMS share a joint vision to promote professionalism amongst the senior level higher education technology manager community in the United Kingdom.
