Videoconferencing Gets Political

 


In the run-up to the 2012 presidential election, there is at least one thing that Democrats and Republicans can agree on, according to a recent survey of likely voters: Videoconferencing interoperability for all! Should the electorate get its way, Skype users would be able to video call Facetime users, who would be able to call telepresence systems. InfoComm International®’s Brad Grimes wonders if anyone will heed the call.

Competence vs. Behavior: Which is Better?

Don’t assume that because someone on your project team doesn’t act the right way that he or she is incompetent. On the flipside, don’t assume the model employee is competent. Too often, managers confuse the two and then can’t understand why they don’t get maximum performance out of their teams.
