There is no shortage of research and experience to confirm that there is a significant gender imbalance in the technology
industry. Join colleagues and members of the new
Women of InfoComm Network Council
for breakfast to discuss the issue during
Integrated Systems Europe, 11 Feb., at
the First Edition Restaurant in the RAI Exhibition Centre.
This session,
featuring Sarah Joyce, Vice President, EMEA, of Electrosonic, and Diana Danziger, Consultant, Inez Consulting Ltd., will explore
what women — and men — in the industry can do to encourage women to pursue successful and long-term careers in technology. |
With Integrated Systems Europe 2015
right around the corner, we talked to AV professionals about the $14 billion European market for AV products and services. Which countries
are growing the fastest? Which are growing the slowest? And which AV technologies and applications offer the greatest opportunities.

The New Year has already gotten off to a flying start. InfoComm University™'s three-day Staging and Events
Management was held 7-9 Jan. 2015 at the Royal College of Surgeons in London, featuring Staff Instructor Andre LeJeune,
CTS. The room was full, with many students joining from the
AV Cultural Forum,
a group of like-minded AV managers and senior technicians.
They came to learn how effective pre-show planning can make for a smooth event. Thank you to the College for hosting. |
Heed the advice of Jarrett Dartnall, CTS, senior engineer at Pyramid, who was the first person to pass the CTS exam at Integrated
Systems Europe (ISE) 2014 in Amsterdam. Dartnall said it was great to combine the exam with the show because after his test, he
was able to relax as he explored all the new technology. "I decided to earn my CTS because more and more of our clients are
requesting it to be part of our company portfolio," he said.
InfoComm International will be offering CTS, CTS-D and CTS-I exams at ISE 2015 in Amsterdam, 10-12 Feb.

Dear Friends,
Welcome to 2015 — InfoComm style! The New Year is all about learning, networking and growing your AV business. In many
ways, 2015 will feed off the incredible gains we made throughout Europe, the Middle East and Africa in 2014. For example, we
were thrilled to offer the first-ever, three-day CTS®-I Prep in the U.K. Good luck to those who took the class
and everyone else pursuing the
Certified Technology Specialist™ – Installation
credential in 2015. And special thanks to AMX for supporting another year of the popular Networking for the AV Industry
courses across Europe, including a programme in London,
16-18 March.
As we write this, InfoComm has wrapped up a roundtable event in Brussels. These free events are the perfect opportunity to make
face-to-face connections with industry colleagues, get management advice and share your experiences. Speaking of networking,
thanks to all of you who attended our festive year-end reception (pictured). Fun was had by all.
Stay in touch throughout 2015 and let us know how InfoComm can help you get ahead.
Sincerely,
|
