Asia and Oceania Regional Update
|
Dear Members,
In what is one of the world's fastest-growing markets for AV products and services, according to InfoComm's 2012 Global Market Definition and Strategy Study,
the InfoComm China show in Beijing drew record crowds. Overall attendance grew 20 percent over the 2012 show, and participation in the
InfoComm China Summit, the show's education component, grew better than 50 percent.
"We are thrilled by this year's success, as it once again proved companies in China are recognizing the importance of pro AV in
providing a competitive edge to their businesses," said Richard Tan, General Manager for show organizer InfoCommAsia Pte Ltd.
"The potential for sustainable growth in the Chinese AV market is enormous, and through InfoComm China, our exhibitors will share
their expertise of the application of pro-AV technology and innovations to help more companies achieve breakthroughs in their businesses."
"The appetite for education in China seems to be growing as we hosted the largest ever Summit at the InfoComm China show. Several
seminars, including this InfoComm seminar about Multi-Image Projection taught by Fredrik Svahnberg of Dataton, were over-capacity,"
said Scott Wills, CTS®-D, CTS-I, Director of International Education and Member Services, InfoComm International.
Our Chinese webinar series launches this month to continue offering education in-language in the region. The first topic is AV Industry's First
Fundamental Revolution in 100 Years. For 100 years, the AV industry has been evolving in the analog domain. The recent digital revolution brings
fundamental changes to the industry. Learn about it in Mandarin on 17 May, but register early as half of the available
attendee slots have already been reserved. If you’d like to present a seminar, course or webinar in Chinese, please get in touch with our
Singapore-based education Conference Program Coordinator Joey Choo at +65.661.82235.
Please note: All three CTS exams will be changing on 1 July. They will have updated content to reflect changes in the AV industry. Those who
have been preparing for one of the exams should consider taking it by 30 June, before new content is added.
Sincerely,
