Dear Members,
The InfoComm India Roadshow was held in three major cities; New Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore, 13-17 February, and presented the Indian market with select innovative solutions for communication, display, entertainment and presentation. The event was well attended in all three cities with a total of more than 1,500 people attending. This is an overwhelming increase compared to 1,100 visitors in 2011. The exhibitors were very happy and were urging InfoComm to launch a full show in India as soon as possible.
A series of industry conferences and Manufacturers' Training complemented the roadshow with interesting seminar tracks and learning opportunities for visitors to the event. In addition, there was much interest and discussion about InfoComm certification during the three-day show.
We held the first InfoComm University™ onsite education in Saudi Arabia in early February with 16 students attending the class. The Essentials of AV Technology program was organised by Hani Farchoukh of FARB Consultancy based in Riyadh, and taught by InfoComm volunteer instructor L. William Nattress III CTS®-D, CTS-I of Shen Milsom Wilke based in Chicago, IL, USA. We would like to congratulate everyone involved on the success of the class.
In Africa, we are happy to announce the renewal of the InfoComm University license agreements with SACIA for 2012. SACIA continues with licenses for the Essentials of AV Technology and CTS Prep materials.
We would also like to congratulate Woodstock Electronics in Nigeria on the decision and commitment to license the InfoComm University curriculum to further educate the company's staff, contractors and customers.
