Dear Members,
Welcome to this month’s edition of Oceania/Asia-Pacific Regional News.
We recently hosted and attended InfoComm China 2011 in Beijing and it was our best show yet in China, with almost 11,000 attendees and over 750 people attending one of our educational sessions. It was a pleasure seeing so many of our Chinese members and friends and we hope that we will see even more of you next year. This tradeshow really is an upcoming sensation in this growing market. Mark your calendars for InfoComm China 2012 on 11-13 April 2012!
Our first month of our new program, InfoComm International’s regional webinars, went very well. Many people listened to the live event and even more listened to the recorded version. If you would like to deliver one of the five regional webinars this year, please let me know. The webinars will be 30-60 minutes long and be of interest to AV professionals in the Asia-Pacific/Oceania Region. The dates for the remaining five webinar presentations are as follows: Thursday 5 May and 19 May, and Wednesday, 5 October, 19 October and 2 November. Benefits of presenting for the InfoComm Academy® webinar program include:
- Increased exposure in the audiovisual industry.
- Opportunity to be associated with a prestigious, globally recognized industry education program.
My colleague Jonathan Seller tells me that the Australia and New Zealand roundtables went well. It was a whirlwind tour for Jonathan and he thanks everyone who was able to attend. Stay tuned to infocomm.org/asia-pacific for updates on more roundtables in our region.
InfoComm 2011 is approaching quickly and we are offering a full array of educational sessions, exciting exhibits and our ”famous“ International Reception. The tradeshow is at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida, and the dates are as follows:
- Conference 11-17 June 2011
- Expo 15-17 June 2011
Classes fill quickly so please don’t miss your opportunity to participate in the premier AV education event for 2011.
Also on your schedules should be InfoComm Academy® at Integrate 2011 in association with InfoComm International in Sydney, Australia, 30 August-1 September. To register for the tradeshow and our classes, visit the Integrate showsite.
Sincerely,
Andy Tan
