Calypso’s New WCM-RF Wireless Microphone at InfoComm 07
The first of a new generation of devices designed expressly for classroom use, Calypso's (Booth 4250, Hall C) new model WCM-RF wireless microphone system comprises a base station and lightweight lanyard microphone, and is used in conjunction with the company's compact four-input, 32W CA-1000 amplifier. Combining the benefits of DSP-based RF voice transmission with proprietary, patent pending IR zone location management, the system offers over 98 RF channels of operation to insure interference-free performance lacking the "dead zones" frequently associated with IR audio.
Capable of managing audio input from up to three other audio sources besides the WCM-RF, the CA-1000 amplifier additionally provides built-in IR control. When paired with the control buttons on the lanyard microphone, teachers gain complete control of audio switching and volume from anywhere in the room. Develop the system one step further with the integration of a Calypso ION-LT controller, and projector control right from the microphone becomes a reality as well.
Comfortable to wear and delivering eight hours of use on a single charge, the lanyard microphone can also be used to play auxiliary audio, and can function as an assistive listening device when used with a headset and integral headphone jack.
