BSS Audio Showcases at InfoComm
BSS Audio (Booth 8425, Hall A), a Harman International Company, is launching HiQnet London Architect v1.14 software and the Soundweb London BLU-8 Zone Controller.
HiQnet London Architect v1.14 introduces Soundweb London macros. Similar sections of processing are often used multiple times within the same Soundweb London design file--as well as for multiple applications. These function-specific processing sections can be copied and pasted, but a better solution is to package them into a single, more manageable object. This is exactly the function of Soundweb London macros. Sections of processing can be consolidated into a single object, with or without an associated custom control panel. Macros are saved as individual files that can be shared among users.
Soundweb London macros aren't limited to the audio domain. Sections of logic can also be saved as a macro with an associated custom control panel. Large sections of logic processing performing a specific function can be created by a technical user, saved as a macro with an associated custom control panel, and then passed on to less technical users for use in Soundweb London designs.
In HiQnet London Architect v1.14, users can also hide sensitive parameters. For example, in a loudspeaker management macro, a user may wish to hide information about loudspeaker EQ, crossover points and limiter settings, but allow users access to essential controls such as mutes and polarity.
The Soundweb London BLU-8 Zone Controller is a single-, four- or eight-zone Ethernet wall controller with a simple, yet powerful interface. The BLU-8 has three different modes of operation: Single Zone Mode (one zone), Button Zone Mode (four zones), and Encoder Zone Mode (eight zones).
RGB LEDs on the BLU-8 allow unique colors to be assigned to different zones, giving visual feedback and a high level of user confidence in adjustments made to remote zones. When a zone is selected, the source-selection LEDs take on the zone color making it clear to the user which zone they are controlling.
