New PowerPro Amplifiers from D.A.S. Audio
MIAMI -- D.A.S. Audio (Infocomm Booth #8847) announces the launch of its new line of amplifiers named the PowerPro series. The new amplifier range consists of four models built in rugged 1RU and 2RU steel chassis and offers unequaled value in proven amplifier technology. Engineered to meet demanding audio requirements reliably and still remain within budget, both permanent installations and mobile applications are ideal candidates for the PowerPro series.
The PowerPro series comprises four models denominated PS-200, PS-400, PS-800 and PS-1400. The PS-200 (12 kg) and PS-400 (13 kg) are 1 rack unit high and offer power ratings of 100 W and 200 W per channel @ 4 ohms respectively. The PS-800 (18 kg) and the PS-1400 (21 kg), largest of the PowerPro line, are 2 rack units high and provide 450 W and 700 W per channel @ 4 ohms. The amplifiers offer XLR and ¼-inch TSR connectors for the inputs and both Speakon NL-4 and binding posts on the outputs (PS-800 and PS-1400 only).
Rear located switches are available for ground lift, operational mode (stereo-bridge-parallel) and input sensitivity selection (0.75 V, 1.0 V and 1.4 V). The low-noise fans force air from back to front and offer both quiet and cool operation while the high energy toroidal transformer saves weight. Each channel is individually protected against output short-circuits, overloading, and overheating. The power supply is protected against short-circuits, voltage, and current overloading which triggers the standby mode. Clip, protection, and idle LED indicators are provided for easy troubleshooting.
D.A.S. Audio Launches New Reference Series Loudspeakers
MIAMI -- D.A.S. Audio (Infocomm Booth #8847) launches a newly designed Reference series, the company's most renowned line-up of mid-size sound reinforcement systems used in a wide variety of applications ranging from mobile systems to permanent installations. Consisting of six two-way systems and three subwoofer systems, the new Reference series is one of the most versatile series available anywhere.
The new line-up of sound reinforcement systems consists of two 12-inch models, two 15-inch models and two double 15-inch models available with 1-inch and 1.5-inch compression drivers equipped with titanium diaphragms. Included in the range of externally powered products are two subwoofer systems boasting a single 18-inch bass-reflex configuration and a high power double 18-inch system for use in applications requiring the extra low-frequency power, such as dance clubs and discos.
The new series of enclosures have been manufactured using 18 mm Birch plywood and are painted in a protective black paint finish. All new rotatable horns with 80º x 50º and 60º x 40º horn dispersions offer precise coverage and control whether the cabinets are used in either the horizontal or vertical position. A new grille design which is internally lined with acoustically transparent filter cloth protects the speaker components from impact damage, dust, and the elements. The larger RF-215.96 and the Sub-218G are equipped with rear located wheels which facilitate their use in mobile applications.
The Reference series offers a comprehensive selection of optional rigging hardware for permanent installations. Each cabinet has 12 M10 rigging points so that they can be easily installed using forged steel eyebolts. The rigging points can also be used with the two-piece wall or ceiling "L" brackets as well as the newly incorporated array frame which permits a horizontal array of up to three RF-12 or RF 15 models. For mobile use, the 12-inch and 15-inch cabinets include a standard speaker stand/pole mount socket and are capable of receiving the "AX-Truss", an optional truss mount accessory that can be attached to standard 50 mm lighting truss.
Whether it's in permanent installations or in mobile systems, when the project requires quality sound and a broad selection of system configurations, professionals count on the Reference series.
D.A.S. Introduces the Artec Series
MIAMI -- D.A.S. Audio (Infocomm Booth #8847) launches the Artec series, a complete range of compact systems that have been designed to provide wide bandwidth and high SPL in a visually discrete package. The Artec products can be easily installed on walls, ceilings or columns-thanks to an extensive selection of optional mounting accessories. Ideal for under balcony, area fill, and near field applications, their reduced dimensions and sleek new styling fit perfectly into multiple surroundings including hotels, restaurants, and convention facilities.
Consisting of four basic system configurations, the Artec 25, Artec 26, and Artec 28 are equipped with double 5", 6" and 8" woofers respectively. A 1" annular compression driver provides for high brilliant frequency reproduction. The Artec 8 is a single 8" two-way system which incorporates a 1" annular compression driver. The high frequency section of the Artec series uses a symmetrical 80° horn for precise coverage and control in either the horizontal or the vertical position. The cabinets employ Birch plywood construction, are available in black or white and permit painting to meet custom color requirements. The news series sports a robust steel grille internally lined with acoustically transparent filter cloth.
The Artec models offer a wide range of mounting possibilities. Each cabinet is equipped with four M10 threaded rigging points for use with steel eyebolts or optional "U" brackets. Rear located fixing points for use with the specially designed AXW-1 or AXW-2 adjustable wall mounts and two M8 threaded inserts for stand mounting multiply the Artec´s adaptability. The Artec "T" models are equipped with a factory installed 100 W line transformer for use in 100 V distributed systems.
