GEN101 Quick Start to the AV Industry is for technicians, managers, and support staff during their first six months of hire. This course provides an introduction to the AV industry to help personnel understand the context of their jobs and how the industry works. It is perfect for anyone wanting AV basics.

Minimum Hardware, Software and Internet Connection Requirements
This course is composed of numerous Flash files. It will work best on a T-1 or T-3 line, DSL or cable modem. If you are using a 28.8 or 56.6k modem, loading some of the longer lessons could take as long at eight or nine minutes to download. Once the lesson is loaded, however, it will run without delay.

  • Windows 98 or higher with Pentium 200 MHz (or faster) processor
  • MAC PowerPC with OS 8 or greater
  • 32 MB (or more) RAM
  • Video card set to display in thousands of colors at 800x600 (or greater) resolution
  • Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0 or greater connection to the Internet through an Internet service provider (ISP) or any other means where you can use Microsoft Internet Explorer as your browser. It is also Netscape compatible.
  • Speakers, SVGA monitor, keyboard and mouse
