BenQ America Corp., an internationally renowned provider of visual display solutions, today announced its sponsorship of the Printing Industries of America (PIA) Color Management Conference (CMC) being held from Dec. 7-10 in Phoenix, Ariz. As a gold sponsor of the PIA CMC and the official projector sponsor for the conference, BenQ will be providing its new PG2401PT certified color management monitor and Colorific projectors for a variety of presentations, training sessions, demonstrations, and other brand-critical color development programs during the color management community's premier event. BenQ will also be giving away a PG2401PT monitor (pictured) at the conference and announcing the availability of a new 32-inch PG Series monitor for release in 2014.

Bringing together designers, brand managers, print production professionals, and color standards experts, the Color Management Conference provides a forum where users and industry specialists can network and learn about the marketplace's latest technological innovations and business process developments. With a focus on communicating brand color, this year's conference will discuss brand color integrity, colors standards, new monitor proofing software, and methodologies for maintaining brand color integrity across product lines via production processes aimed at keeping costs in line. Divided into four tracks, the conference will also feature keynote speeches by Adobe Senior Creative Director Russell Brown and branding mastermind Sven Seger of FutureBrand.

"BenQ is looking forward to lending its support to such a creative class of experts at the PIA CMC," said Bob Wudeck, Associate Vice President, Strategy and Business Development at BenQ America Corp. "Known for delivering Colorific image quality via our wide range of projectors, we are proud to present our new PG2401PT monitor designed to provide print media professionals with self-calibrating, certified, professional color management capabilities for cloud-based color accuracy at a very affordable price. As both an official sponsor and a participant in this year's conference, we look forward to co-creating an inspiring event for the printing and graphic arts community."

For the PIA CMC's hands-on Mac Lab sessions, BenQ's elegant PG2401PT monitors will be used in tandem with Mac mini computers to provide participants with a variety of practice-based workshops ranging from photography color correction to soft proofing techniques. Engineered for creative professionals such as photographers, graphic designers, color retouchers, and printers, the new PG2401PT provides accurate and consistent on-screen color matching combined with reliable G7 and FOGRA printing-certified soft proofing precision. To increase collaboration and simplicity for the creative process, the self-calibrating PG2401PT monitor covers 100 percent CMYK, 99 percent of the Adobe RGB color space, and is designed to take advantage of today's most popular cloud-based color proofing services, such as Adobe's Creative Cloud and PantoneLIVE. In addition, the monitor comes equipped with intuitive software for self-calibrating and one-click proofing capabilities.

To enable total interoperability, the 24-inch PG2401PT provides dynamic connectivity options via input ports, which allow users to switch easily between different connected devices. This allows professionals to connect their PG monitor directly to a PC via DVI-D, HDMI, or DisplayPort, while Mac users can utilize a Mini DisplayPort to connect with the displays. A USB 3.0 port/card reader is also available to facilitate fast file transfers. To further simplify operation and increase comfort, the monitors are ergonomically designed with a wide adjustable stand, and an on-screen display allows automatic rotation to either portrait or landscape mode. To ensure smooth proofing, the monitor comes equipped with a shading hood that eliminates distracting glare effects.

As the event's official projector sponsor, BenQ's versatile W1500 wireless projector will support bigger and brighter presentations in the main session room. Using Colorific image quality, the device has been designed to deliver accurate, crisp, and long-lasting image quality while casting an amazing one billion colors within corporate, presentation, creative, education, and home theater settings.
