INS311 Lead Installation Technician
INS311 Lead Installation Technician is the second of two three-day classroom courses of core knowledge in the InfoComm University Installer Track. This course begins at the point before the system is powered up and ready for proper system setup techniques to ensure optimum quality of the audio, video and control systems being installed. Emphasis is placed on customer expectations and making sure the system is installed to specifications and best practices.
Who Should Take This Class
Installers who are proficient in cable installation, have a good understanding of AV signals, and jobsite activities. Students for this class are ready to adjust equipment and provide their customers with optimized installations.
Prerequisites

Course Content
You will learn to set audio gain structure, measure distributed audio systems, and properly set up video displays and install projection systems. This course offers hands-on adjustments of equipment for EQ and gain structure. Basic AV math concepts are taught, Ohm's/watts laws, conduit calculations and an overview of decibel calculations. Customer satisfaction techniques are a theme spread throughout the course.
