INS212 Installation Technician
INS212 Installation Technician is a hands-on, instructor-led three-day course that will help you master the role of an AV installation technician. You will be prepared to properly cable, terminate and install your next system with higher quality and in less time, using industry best practices. This course will elevate your skills and understanding of the importance of adherance to best practices when performing AV installations.
Who Should Take This Class
This course is well suited for the new installer or anyone who works in or has the responsibility for the installation of audiovisual facilities, including:
- installation technicians
- lead installation technicians
- field engineers
- project managers.
Prerequisites

Course Content
In this course you will:
- terminate cables
- solder
- build a cable snout and cable your own rack system
- cable separation lessons
- on-the-job etiquette
- prepare for the jobsite
- reading plans
- system descriptions
- mounting discussions
- common AV hand tool use
This course covers installation right up to the point of turning on the equipment. All tools are provided, come dressed to work!
