James Horn, CTS-D

James Horn, CTS-D, is in his tenth year with Thorburn Associates, Inc. and has recently been named Associate Principal with the firm.  He has previously completed a 31-year career with the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in Systems Engineering, Technology Design, and Facilities Management.  During that career, he acted as an independent technology consultant to many projects in higher education,museums, science centers, planetariums and churches. His professional achievements include developing the first internationally successful automation system for the Zeiss Model VI Planetarium projector.  He was a founding director of the Large Format Cinema Association and has acted on the Board of Directors for four other museum and planetarium industry associations.  He has presented numerous seminars, papers and published articles on technology and consultation issues.
