GovComm 2011 Successfully Connects Government with AV Technology

More than 1,800 attendees visit 110 exhibitors, 2012 Show Dates Announced

WASHINGTON, D.C. – InfoComm International®, the trade association representing the commercial audiovisual industry, announced that registration for GovComm 2011, the new professional audiovisual and information communications technology exposition and conference held November 1-2, 2011, at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C., had 1,864 attendees. This two-day event designed to serve Washington, D.C.-area technology managers, end-users and procurement officers in the government and military sectors featured 110 exhibits, networking opportunities, education and manufacturers’ training.  

“The success of this first GovComm validates that there is a need for a tradeshow focused solely on the specific AV communication needs of the government and military,” said Randal A. Lemke, Ph.D., Executive Director and CEO, InfoComm International. “As a result we have decided to hold GovComm 2012, October 3-4, at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center.
