ARCHI-TECH Names Winners of 2010 ARCHI-TECH AV Awards

Las Vegas, NV - June 9, 2010 - ARCHI-TECH and InfoComm International® announced that six projects have been named as 2010 ARCHI-TECH AV Award winners. The ARCHI-TECH AV Awards honor the best audiovisual architectural projects in the industry. Two grand prizes, three winners, and one honorable mention were named.
"It's an outstanding accomplishment and speaks highly about a firm's talents when their projects were chosen from so many outstanding audiovisual projects to receive an ARCHI-TECH AV Award," said Leah Garris, editor of ARCHI-TECH.
The awards were presented on June 9 at InfoComm's annual tradeshow in Las Vegas, Nevada. The award-winning projects will also be featured in AT Weekly, ARCHI-TECH's e-newsletter, in September and October.
The grand prizes and winners will be the focus of five webinars that educate architects and technology professionals about the best practices integrated into each project. The winning projects are:
Grand Prize Winners
- Best Over $1 Million: Center for Connected Medicine, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Project team includes The Sextant Group, The Design Alliance Architects and SoundCom Systems.
- Best Under $1 Million: Autodesk, Waltham, Massachusetts. Project team includes Office Environments of New England, KlingStubbins and ACT Associates.
Winners
- Carolina Herrera Flagship Boutique at CityCenter, Las Vegas. Project team includes a+i design corp., Candela Controls and Essential Communications.
- Fox News Network, New York City. Project team includes McCann Systems, Clickspring Design and Showman Fabricators.
- Margot and Bill Winspear Opera House, Dallas, Texas. Project team includes Engineering Harmonics, Clair Brothers and Foster + Partners.
Honorable Mentions
- Kaust MPR, Saudi Arabia.
The awards program is judged by a group of six renowned industry professionals, including architects, consultants, and integrators.
