CTS-I Study Resources

Please keep in mind that InfoComm Academy is not your only avenue for test preparation, and there is no sigls way to prepare for the exam.  However, InfoComm's deep body of knowledge lends itself easily to test preparation.  Here are some suggestions on where to begin:

(PDF): An interactive PDF with descriptions of every topic in the exam outline. It's set up like a worksheet to help you determine what areas to study. If you need to brush up, there are study resources listed for each topic.

Installation Online (INS201): An interactive course addressing advanced science and technology concepts, specifically as they relate to installation.  Included are more than 40 downloadable PDFs of step-by-step instructions.

Audio-Video and Control Systems Networking Online (GEN103): Created to help the AV professional prepare for the impact of the convergence of information technology (IT) and AV technology. This course provides the link between courses on computer networking and its application to the AV industry.

AV Installation Handbook: Contains color photos and clear instruction regarding proper cable termination, techniques, rack building, cable handling and mounting, as well as an appendix with a new Audiovisual Systems Commissioning Checklist and AV Math Formulas.

Audiovisual Best Practices: An industry-encompassing publication that presents an overview of the industry and explores the inner workings of AV projects with start-to-finish process descriptions.
