CTS Study Resources

Please keep in mind that InfoComm University is not your only avenue for test preparation, and there is no single publication or class that will prepare you for the exam.  However, InfoComm's deep body of knowledge lends itself easily to test preparation.  Here are some suggestions on where to begin:

Fast Track:  Have lots of AV experience?  Take the fast tract to CTS certification.

Self Study Assessment (PDF): An interactive PDF with descriptions of every topic in the exam outline.  It's set up like a worksheet to help you determine what areas to study.  If you need to brush up, there are study resources listed for each topic, many of which are free!

Self Assessment Tools: Free online tests to help you evaluate your readiness for the CTS exam. 

Sample Exam Questions (PDF): A selection of questions similar to what you'll find on the CTS exam.

GEN112 CTS Prep: This popular course provides a forum for people to explore the exam format and work collaboratively, studying the exam content areas with the help of facillitators.

GEN113 CTS Prep Virtual Classroom: Combines live and self-paced education to help students prepare for the InfoComm general CTS exam. Like a classroom course, CTS Prep Virtual Classroom includes lectures, assignments and discussions. Instead of meeting in person, students interact online through webinars and a discussion board.
