InfoComm to Host Disneyland Innoventions Dream Home Tours During AV Week

SANTA ANA, Calif. -- InfoComm International is excited to conduct exclusive guided tours at the Disneyland Resort Innoventions Dream Home in Anaheim, Calif. Get a privileged peek at the Disney Magic. This tour is scheduled to celebrate and coincide with InfoComm’s AV Week, October 19-25, 2008.

AV Week encourages InfoComm members to reach out in their communities to raise awareness for the AV industry. Every day around the world, audiovisual communication technology is used to educate, entertain, inspire and motivate people, and the $75 billion worldwide audiovisual industry is expected to grow. The AV industry has an impact on virtually everyone’s life, and the NEW Disneyland Resort Innoventions Dream Home is the perfect platform to demonstrate how AV is integrated into the home and used everyday.

The Innoventions Dream Home tour starts with the guests milling about in the front yard, viewing multiple digital images and lighting scenes showing holidays such as Thanksgiving, Valentine’s Day, July 4th, etc. The guests are then transported into the dream living room, kitchen and bedrooms — each exhibiting a myriad of visual displays with a family member host explaining the technology’s application. The inset picture is one example: an acrylic counter top doubling as a rear projection screen able to digitally project the day’s activities or a food recipe. This is one of the many rear projection screen applications in the Dream Home.

Randy Pagnan, President of rp Visual Solutions and past resident of InfoComm International, will be conducting the tours and exclaims, "The rear projection and display technology on exhibit at the Dream Home exemplifies the value of AV now and into the future — bringing innovative technology seamlessly to the user. We are privileged to be part of this project uniting InfoComm’s AV Week and Disneyland Resort Innoventions Dream Home."
