Listen Technologies Celebrates AV Week

BLUFFFDALE, Utah -- Listen Technologies Corporation will participate in several events in celebration of InfoComm AV Week.

“Listen Technologies is proud to be a part of bringing awareness of the prominence of AV in all of our lives” noted Russell Gentner, President. Listen will be holding an AV Open House Fundraiser to raise money to support the Salt Lake Education Foundation’s Speech and Auditory Programs on Tuesday, October 21 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Other planned events include a presentation to Jordan High School science students on the AV industry, a Listen Family Feud game, a tour of Hale Centre Theatre, and employee training on the AV industry.

The audiovisual industry is a $75 billion dollar industry worldwide. The audiovisual industry is an integral part of information communications technology that includes new media, projectors, high definition TVs, digital signage, and remote video; video and collaborative conferencing; interactive display, systems integration, and security systems. The industry’s scope also includes presentation professionals and lighting and staging for corporate events, entertainment, sports and concerts.

Lemke, Ph.D., Executive Director, InfoComm International, the professional audiovisual trade association. “AV is impacting lives by engaging students through distance learning, enabling companies to meet with investors from around the world without leaving their boardroom, assisting medical technicians in diagnosing patients, keeping government infrastructure safe through sophisticated command and control centers and creating comfortable home and work environments through automated systems.
