Michael Kerr Rejoins The Sextant Group to Head New Washington DC Office

WASHINGTON -- The Sextant Group, a nationally recognized, independent consulting and design firm specializing in audiovisual technologies, information technologies and acoustics, announces the addition of Michael Kerr as Senior Consultant.
Kerr brings a demonstrated track record of success in design and construction management of technology systems for government, healthcare, theatres/auditoriums, corporate, sports & entertainment, and educational facilities. His recent high-visibility projects range from the Miami Federal Courthouse and Netflix Corporate Headquarters to Children's Hospital of Dallas, Tampa's Ford Amphitheatre, Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center, and the Washington Nationals Baseball Stadium.
The move enhances an already significant presence in the mid-Atlantic, and sets the stage for further growth in the core business of consulting, planning and design of educational, institutional and corporate space demanding a high degree of technology. This new office offers local architects and engineers dramatically improved access and better services from one of the nation's top firms providing audiovisual and information technology design & specification, acoustics consulting and strategic technology planning.
Kerr originally worked for The Sextant Group between 2001 and 2003, and since then has been consultant for some of the most recognized names in the industry, plus teaching acoustics at University of Texas Arlington. A Baltimore native, Michael is a graduate of University of Maryland College Park, an alumnus of American University, and an active member of AIA | DC.
