Asia Regional Webinar: How Networked Video Will Change Your Business and the AV Market

Type: Recorded Webinar

Topics: Networked AV Systems

Date: August 2012

This webinar will examine the impact of networked video applications on business and the AV marketplace. By 2014, 90% of network traffic is expected to be video-based. This US$50B opportunity encompasses all aspects of collaboration, including Telepresence, digital signage, web-based conferencing, media storage and retrieval, as well as methods for consolidating video-based applications through unified communications.

These applications will become increasingly mobile as users bring their own devices such as tablets and smartphones onto the network and will require a new way of looking at how they are deployed. As we move beyond simply dropping a few codecs in conference rooms onto the network, IT managers must research and plan for the impact of video across their organizations.

This new market will require partners that are capable of designing, integrating and managing these applications on a single network. While this opportunity is open to the AV market, it will also include partners from the networking and telephony markets. AV partners must determine where in the new market they wish to participate. The IT market will also expect a level of best practices and standards from the AV market that are uniform and predictable.
