Stakeholder Management

Who are the "players" involved in your project? What roles and responsibility does each play in the project, and how do they impact it? Executive accounts sponsors (sales) and project managers should be wary of all who are impacted on a project. You'd be surprised just what may be lurking around the corner ready to pounce on your project and send it in disarray if you aren't ready.

Take a look at pre-planning and identifying everyone who is impacted by a project, from an end-user to the public at large. It is important to have a thoughtful strategy on how you deal with those who have a stake in the project. Doing so will develop alliances, increase your credibility and show you and your company's intent in doing good work and getting it right.
