Networked Audiovisual Systems explores the impact of audiovisual applications on enterprise networks. This course discusses how to balance customers’ AV needs with their IT reality. At the end of this course, you’ll have the background you need to cross the AV/IT cultural divide and specify devices for enterprise networks.

Course Content

This course teaches how to discover client needs for networked systems, trade-offs between quality and bandwidth, and how to navigate conflicts between network policies and customer demands. You’ll learn how to agree upon, document, and stick to shared expectations for networked systems. There will be several demos and hands-on opportunities: bring your laptop. Applications to be discussed include remote monitoring and management, streaming, conferencing, and more.

Networked AV Systems is intended for integrators, design consultants, AV and IT managers, and IT professionals who are responsible for designing, implementing, or maintaining networked AV systems.

Networked AV Systems is an intermediate to advanced course. Students should have a CTS-level understanding of AV technologies and design principles and a CompTIA Network + level understanding of networking technologies and design principles.
