Welcome BICSI members!

InfoComm InternationalŽ is delighted to welcome members of BICSI to this website.

InfoComm and BICSI share common interests and have been working closely together on an association level, just as InfoComm and BICSI professionals work together to serve their clients.

As part of the InfoComm and BICSI relationship, members of each association can now participate in both associations' curriculum programs, some at member pricing.

InfoComm Academy offers an extensive range of audiovisual courses designed by experts and taught by AV professionals in the US and around the world. This page is an overview of the InfoComm curriculum.

InfoComm offers a broad spectrum of educational content and formats for development of audiovisual knowledge and skills. There are numerous online courses that are highly interactive, engaging and comprehensive, as well as video-streamed courses. In addition, there are in-depth classroom courses offered either at InfoComm headquarters in Fairfax, Virginia or at the InfoComm tradeshow each year, as well as at other locations. InfoComm even enables companies to offer their own InfoComm classes at their own locations.

InfoComm Academy has provided online education since 1997, with over 30,000 enrollments since that time. Interactive courses allow participants to proceed at their own pace. The series of courses beginning with Essentials of the AV Industry also provides supervisors the opportunity to keep track of employees' progress through the course.


Certification

Just as BICSI has its Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDDŽ) credentialing program, InfoComm has an industry-recognized certification, the Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) program.


The AV Design Reference Manual

InfoComm InternationalŽ and BICSIŽ have jointly developed the definite source on AV Design -- the AV Design Reference Manual. The result of months-long collaboration of subject matter experts from both organizations, this unique reference work provides a wealth of information from many sources - all in one place.
